Wholesale distribution company ANZ Pharma implemented MYOB Advanced Business to get a single accounting, inventory management and CRM system across two countries.
ANZ Pharma Wholesalers Ltd is the leading distributor and wholesaler of pharmaceutical, medical and healthcare products in the Oceania region. The company was using different systems for inventory management and accounting – Xero for accounting and Trade Gecko for inventory – but its growth plans demanded a single view of the business.
“We were looking for one system,” says ANZ Pharma Business Development & Business Operations Manager Nitin Patel.
“Reporting, in particular, was very basic. We were missing vital information that we need to grow our revenue. MYOB Advanced Business provides us with a comprehensive system with e-commerce integration that will help us grow our business. We can run multiple companies and still have a single system.”
ANZ Pharma has a team of sales reps out on the road. They needed opportunity pipeline management, inventory visibility and full CRM. Measuring sales used to be a manual process – ANZ Pharma is using MYOB Advanced Business to automate this. Sales reps also get inventory information via their mobile devices.
“Knowing exactly where stock is helps us deliver better service to our customers,” Nitin Patel says.
ANZ Pharma evaluated a competing product, but support was only available from across the Tasman.
“We wanted local support in both Australia and New Zealand - we get that with Enprise,” says Nitin Patel.

ANZ Pharma reports increased efficiency company-wide, including inventory visibility; order processing; accounts payable and receivable; and full CRM. Customers can have their own self-service accounts that let them check their orders, download invoices and make payments.
“Customers don’t have to call us anymore to ask for an invoice, and that saves time for both companies,” Nitin Patel says.
