As a successful medium-sized company, Self Care has its own unique business software requirements. June Lamb, Self Care's Finance Manager, says when she started looking into upgrading to new software, MYOB EXO was the perfect fit.
According to Lamb, Self Care had been using Global 3000 business software; however that was failing to meet the company's requirements. "I found it was becoming increasingly outdated and wasn't particularly user-friendly. For instance it wasn't Windows-based and didn't allow me to drill down for information," says Lamb. "MYOB Exo appealed primarily for its ease-of-use. You can change between features - such as creditors and stock - without having to jump modules."
With regards to Enprise, Lamb says she was looking for a company that had been providing software to local companies for some time. Of greatest importance though was the provision of quality helpdesk services.
"When I have a problem I want a quick resolution, I don't want to be hanging around on a helpline waiting to explain the problem - I just want it solved quickly so I can get back to work. Enprise staff are very responsive and, because they take the time to understand my business, they're also very efficient."
On top of phone support Enprise clients are provided with online support, which enables them to log their own jobs, receive instant responses and check the status of their jobs which means they can avoid lengthy periods on the phone. This visibility also allows clients to add detailed comments and notes, search for jobs by status and review their job history.
A painless transition
As for the implementation of MYOB Exo, Lamb describes it as an extremely smooth transition from the old system to the new. "I was using an external IT consultant for Global 3000 so I just asked Enprise to give me their requirements and had him format the data as per their requirements - Enprise didn't touch the data at all," she says.
Because MYOB Exo is so user-friendly Lamb says training was a breeze and only required a couple of training sessions. "I'm very systems-oriented so the training didn't phase me at all plus MYOB Exo is so easy to use it wasn't a time-consuming process to learn it."
Lamb says she immediately noticed greater efficiencies in the new system which provides greater transparency across the various business units. "The system makes it so easy to drill down for information. Before implementing MYOB Exo I had to go to a hard copy to get the data - this just saves me so much time." And Lamb says the product makes life easier when dealing with Self Care's customers. "It's made a huge difference in that it's easier to enter orders as well as searching for products - that saves both us and our customers time."

Aside from the considerable time-saving benefits MYOB Exo delivers, Lamb says the excellent support provided by Enprise staff is what keeps her a satisfied customer. "Pretty much all software companies offer support but not all of them take the time to look after companies the size of Self Care - which fits in the medium sector of the market. The level of service Enprise offers is brilliant for an organisation like ours." Furthermore Lamb says she would happily recommend both MYOB Exo and Enprise to other companies.
