MYOB has been made aware that many customers have been overwhelmed with meeting their EOFY obligations and simultaneously implementing STP. To help alleviate this pressure, MYOB has applied to the ATO for an STP deferral for Exo Employer Services. As a result, the good news is that customers now have until 30 September 2018 to start reporting via Single Touch Payroll.
We emailed Enprise MYOB Exo Payroll customers at the beginning of July, including a link to the deferral evidence letter. It has the details you need, including the MYOB deferral reference number you should provide to the ATO if they contact you about not reporting via STP.
What if I need more time?
If you need more time past the deferral date, you will need to contact the ATO, provide evidence and meet a number of requirements for a deferral to be granted.
You don't need to wait
Remember that you can still upgrade to STP at any time – you don't need to wait for the deadlines.
NB: Make sure you’ve applied for your AUSkey (AUSkey is a secure login that identifies you when you use participating government online services on behalf of a business. See more information here). This will allow you to register your MYOB software ID with ATO online, which is a requirement when setting up STP.
We upload information and useful resources to our Single Touch Payroll page on the website. Remember to bookmark it as a one-stop source of information.
