The Enprise social club headed to Waiheke Island for its end of year bash, visiting three vineyards for wine tasting before settling down to a long lunch at the famous Mud Brick restaurant.
The social club spent all day on the island, boarding a ferry in Auckland for a 10am sailing and getting picked up from Waiheke wharf by a van that took them on a wine tour. They visited the Stony Ridge, Kennedy Point and Mud Brick vineyards, tasting wines at each stop. The Kennedy Point vineyard also presses oil from its own olive trees, and the flavour of this olive oil was reckoned to be seriously impressive.
Everyone tried – successfully – not to talk about work. The sun shone hot for the whole day, and lunch lasted until it was time to take the 4pm ferry home. Some people made their own arrangements to stay over on the island, making a weekend of it with their partners. The Enprise Social Club wishes a Merry Christmas to all of its customers, and hopes your Christmas do is as relaxing and memorable as their ‘taste of island life’.
