Enprise Solutions, New Zealand’s largest MYOB implementation and support company, has opened a Wellington office as part of a national growth strategy that will see further offices opened during the year.
Enprise Group CEO Mark Loveys says the platform for the new Wellington office is the recent acquisition of the MYOB Exo business of Very Impressive Software Ltd.
“Impressive’s Wellington premises at 69 Boulcott Street - along with three specialist MYOB Exo staff - will provide the nucleus of the new Enprise Wellington branch,” Loveys says.
“Our Auckland and Waikato branches are currently experiencing strong growth. I anticipate that Wellington will be similar, and we expect to hire more Wellington staff during 2010.”
Loveys says Enprise will take over responsibility for support contracts with the 120 existing MYOB Exo customers of Very Impressive Software. Very Impressive Software will continue to operate its successful software development business.
Peter Chung, Very Impressive Software director, has been appointed Enprise Wellington General Manager. He says customer response to the change in ownership has been very favourable.
“Customers and staff are extremely positive about the change - they get additional resources without having to give up anything,” Peter Chung said.
“Customers will have the same staff providing support on the ground, but they’ll also get immediate access to Enprise’s dedicated online and phone support service. They will have some of the best MYOB Exo consulting resources in the Asia Pacific region. The people at Enprise developed MYOB Exo. My customers are looking forward to reaping the business benefits of having such a wealth of MYOB Exo expertise available to them.”
Mark Loveys says Enprise’s growth has accelerated over the past 18 months as tough market conditions see businesses looking to take firmer control of their bottom line and MYOB Exo has become, arguably, the preferred ERP solution at the mid to high end of the SME market.
Last year Enprise established a Waikato branch, based in Hamilton, and the success of this operation has encouraged a national growth strategy of which the Wellington acquisition is a part.
“A key part of this national growth strategy is our sophisticated online and phone support centre for MYOB Exo. We are not only providing this directly to our own customers but are also in advanced discussion with other MYOB Exo service providers interested signing their own customers on to the service,” Loveys says.
“We are finding that smaller business like to have a local contact for their ERP solutions, but also want the capability and support of a national organisation. Larger companies want local support for their branches around the country. It’s all about being close to our customers while offering the benefits of centralised online support services.”
Loveys says that Enprise’s short term goal for 2010 is to reach 500 customers by year end. At current customer levels Enprise is the largest MYOB Exo implementation, consulting and service company across Australia and New Zealand, with more than 50 staff. Enprise customers range in size from small three-person operations to large nationwide firms such as Ullrich Aluminium (16 branches) and Vodafone NZ (20 branches). New customers with the acquisition include Caffe L'Affare and Absolutely Positively Wellington.
Enprise’s growth parallels the growth of MYOB Exo which, he says, has become the solution of choice for small to medium sized companies in the region - with market penetration growth considerably ahead of completing solutions. He says MYOB Exo is the market leading ERP solution in New Zealand and Australia. Australian sales are particularly strong.
MYOB Exo was originally developed by Mark Loveys and his team, and was sold to Solution 6 in August 2000 for $38 million. MYOB took over Solution 6 in 2004 and under MYOB ownership sales have accelerated sharply.
