Enprise is seeing an upsurge in projects to implement and support MYOB Exo for import and distribution companies, in part because of the ease of integrating ‘add-ons’ like online ordering and CRM.
Enprise took two major import and distribution companies live this month on MYOB Exo Business, upgrading them from MYOB Premier. Hunter Pacific International is headquartered in Sydney, NSW, and United Wholesale is based in Victoria. Both companies are making good use of the various add-ons – such as online ordering – that are possible with Exo Business.
Hunter Pacific International is an Australian company specialising in the manufacture and distribution of world-class ceiling fans, lighting and accessories. Hunter Pacific IT Manager Michael Allen says he selected Enprise because it used to own EXO, and because it wrote the software.
“We knew they could give us the best support,” he says.
“For service and pricing, Enprise was a lot better than the rest.”
Hunter Pacific evaluated ‘five or six’ different software products, and nine different implementation and support providers, before choosing the combination of Enprise and EXO. He says many service providers actually made mistakes about Hunter Pacific in their blueprints.
“That told us they had not done enough research on our company. The blueprint Enprise supplied was informative – but not boring.”
Michael Allen says the two best things about his new system are customisable reporting and the lack of system crashes.
“If it’s in the system, we can report on it,” he says.
“We are also running add-ons like online ordering that we couldn’t run before. We have 15-20 simultaneous users and our old system crashed five or six times a day. The new system has been up and running for two weeks now without any outages at all.”
Both projects took three months from start to finish, including scoping, go-live and end-of-month support. Enprise is now providing an ongoing mix of on-site and remote support as needed. Both companies have felt the value of the implementations already – in terms of speed of data entry, the level of information that can now be extracted and the timeliness of information – and are looking at investing to add extra functionality such as CRM.
