Rule-based business alerts allow a business to define what it wishes to monitor or prevent, says Kris Schneider, General Manager – Waikato/Bay of Plenty, Enprise Solutions.

“You can set a rule to be notified when total margin on a sale is less than a certain percentage, for example,” she says.

“Or, you could set a rule to prevent a sale from being made if the margin is below a certain level. Version 8.7 contains the first generation of rule-based alerts and monitoring for Exo. It’s a powerful concept that will continue to evolve over time.”

The Business Education Centre lets users enter key words to search for information on different topics, in much the same way as performing a Google search.

“The Business Education Centre also contains database diagrams, which is hugely useful for anyone writing their own Clarity reports. It gives you all the database information you need to build the query – in a user-friendly graphical format,” Kris Schneider says.

The new version is the first release in a long time to improve Job and Project Costing.

“The ‘Work In Progress’ (WIP) account is now on the balance sheet. There’s also support for the perpetual method of integration for stock with Job Costing, which can improve visibility and control of inventory processes,” says Kris Schneider.
