Payday Filing is just around the corner and the MYOB Exo Employer Services team have been busy working to ensure customers are Payday Filing ready. All New Zealand employers need to switch to payday filing by 1 April 2019.
MYOB has advised the Payday Filing functionality will be made available as part of their Payday Filing and 2019 compliance release mid-end March 2019. This will allow you to upgrade once and be ready for all Payday Filing and compliance changes for 2019. As with any release, you will be provided with comprehensive release notes giving you information on the changes and instructions on how to install this release.
The switch to Payday Filing will be quick and easy. From 1 April, your myIR system will enable uploading of your payday files. Simply file your final IR348 and IR345 for March then go ahead and upload payday files each payday from 1 April. And that's it – no more Monthly Filing!

Early adopters for Payday Filing
You can opt in early
If you're interested in adopting Payday Filing prior to 1 April 2019, you can! You'll need to opt in with the IRD first (see below) and then please contact the Enprise Support Team about installing version 2018.10, which has Payday Filing functionality.
Customers wanting to adopt earlier will need to opt into this process with IRD, and once confirmed, a new Payroll Returns account will appear in your My Business section. Please note that it can take up to 48 hours for IRD to process the request.
For employers wanting to learn more about opting in earlier than 1 April 2019, as well as how to navigate Payday Filing within the IRD website, the following videos provide insight and guidance:
