Effective 1 April 2019 the Domestic Violence – Victims’ Protection Act adds legal protections in the workplace for people affected by domestic violence. These can affect Exo Payroll.
The Act gives employees affected by domestic violence the right to:
- Ten days of paid domestic leave.
- The ability to ask for short term flexible working arrangements.
- Not be treated adversely in the workplace because they may have been affected.
From a Payroll perspective
MYOB Exo Employer Services version 2019.06 contains the new functionality to manage Domestic Violence Leave (DVL) along with some minor changes to Extra Pay and Withholding Tax calculations.

Users of Exo Employer Services don’t have to upgrade to this version if this functionality is not needed.
